Fifteen years ago, Porter Stansberry founded Stansberry Research—a financial research firm--on a borrowed laptop in a rundown apartment in Baltimore's ghetto.
The company has since become one of the largest firm of its kind in the world, with over 400,000 paid subscribers in more than 120 countries.
Today, Stansberry Research has more paid subscribers than many of America's most popular financial newspapers, including Barron's and Investor's Business Daily.
Over the past few years, Porter has helped investors avoid the big disasters associated with Wall Street's collapse. He warned people to avoid Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Lehman Brothers, General Motors and dozens of other companies that have since collapsed. In fact, Barron's called Porter's predictions "remarkably prescient... Nothing, as far as we can see, has happened to contradict his dire prophesy."
Porter has been asked to speak at dozens of investment conferences around the globe, including the recent keynote address for TD Ameritrade brokers. He's been featured in many of the world's leading financial news sources, including the Wall Street Journal, Barron's, Business Insider, and more.
Before founding Stansberry Research, Porter was the first American editor of the Fleet Street Letter (the world's oldest English-language financial newsletter).
